Karen Nichols, DO, Elected AOA President-elect

To the tune of “Walkin’ on Sunshine,” AOA Trustee Karen J. Nichols, DO, was elected as President-elect of the American Osteopathic Association this morning in Chicago! President-elect Nichols is the Dean of the Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and has held countless leadership positions within the AOA, most recently as the Chair of the Medical Education Summit Progress Task Force and as Chair of the Council Palliative Care Issues. Hi! I just opened one of the AOA Daily reports and read that you are the President of the AOA! This is a belated congratulations. I remember you as a resident at OSU Medical Center (formerly OOH). I always respected and admired you. Hope this year goes well for you.

All the best,

Congratulations. You have served the profession (followed in the DO) very well for years. I look forward to your work as president.
I remember you when you were a resident and I was a student doc at OOH. You interviewed me with Dr Lemaster for intership there.
Thank you.
