AOA Trustee Boyd R. Buser, DO, is in our Nation's Capitol today representing the osteopathic medical profession on a working group convened by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to discuss policies impacting rural primary care providers. The group will specifically address implementation of provisions contained in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Affordable Care Act. As Dean of the rurally located Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine and an osteopathic leader, Dr. Buser brings a uniquely valuable perspective to this panel. The working group also includes representatives from the AAFP and the National Rural Health Association, and other stakeholders in rural primary care.
