AOA President Larry A. Wickless, DO, wrote to the FDA Director of Advisory Committee Oversight and Management Staff on 4/7/10 to nominate AOA member James DiStefano, DO, to serve as a voting member on the FDA Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Devices Panel. Dr. DiStefano is a board certified physician and has completed a fellowship in sports medicine. He is a Team Physician at Texas A & M University and for the Bryan Independent School District. Dr. DiStefano practices at the Central Texas Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Bryan. We will keep AOA members apprised of the progress of this nomination and, hopefully, will be able to share news of Dr. DiStefano’s appointment!
